The receiving provider controls timing
Your provider submits and manages the transfer request. Completion time depends on the providers and whether the submitted information is accepted.
Keep the existing service active
Do not cancel the current service before the receiving provider confirms that the transfer is complete. Premature cancellation can interfere with the transfer and may put the number at risk.
